Recycled cotton: Recycled cotton is produced from post-consumer or post-industrial waste. The use of recycled cotton saves raw materials, water, chemicals and energy and is therefore a great way to reduce environmental impact. BCI Cotton: G-Star RAW is a partner of the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) . We also use BCI sourced cotton in our collection. By investing in this, we support the Better Cotton Initiative's mission to help cotton communities survive and thrive while protecting and restoring the environment. The Better Cotton Initiative applies a mass balance system, which means that cotton is blended with conventional cotton in a complex supply chain.
